"My connection to your art comes from my love of nature. The peace and serenity that comes with the beauty of our mountains are one of my favorite parts of being alive and the sole reason I'm always proud to tell folks that I'm from Asheville ( because that's 99% of the good that's left of living here). The photo from your contest piece specifically brings me joy because the Pretty Place is where we scattered the ashes of my dear Granny. She was an angel long before she ever got her wings and it does my heart so good knowing that she flies in such an awe-inspiring place, having that hanging in my home would be my daily source of inspiration and peace of mind in knowing that she's always with me. Even without winning, I always enjoy seeing your work. I absolutely love your eye for beauty and perspective! And your website is wonderfully put together! Have a wonderful day!"
"I love your artwork because it is pictures of local places. It is pictures of home and they are absolutely beautiful!"
"...Your stories & passion add to the breathtaking photographs. You have an eye for things that are similar to my own. I love finding the view that’s a little different & all the tiny everyday miracles that go overlooked. I just love all of your work."
"I enjoy your work simply because I have a passion for nature photography and catching things at different angles and you are able to do that. Your work inspires me to want to learn but I just haven't had time. So in the meantime, I will enjoy your work."
"Roger's artwork makes me picture what Heaven would look like. Absolutely beautiful & breathtaking. He does such a wonderful job with every picture he takes! I am looking forward in seeing more of his work!
"I love all the different pictures you take, they are very beautiful and I like to see the different places you go to take your pictures."
"The colors in some of your photos are very vibrant and the contrast present is amazing. Some photos are just relaxing to look at and give a feeling of calm."
"Well, first off My Husband and I are from the wonderful cold state of Ohio (Ashtabula County). We are both retired Law Enforcement. We both love the outdoor photos that you take and that you are a man of God. You have such a God-given talent. Your photos are so peaceful several of them remind me of my mom which I lost almost 4 yrs ago. She and I used to walk out in the creek and woods around her home. Thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories for me. God bless..."
"Love your work. It's kind of a way for me to stay connected to the mountains and surroundings. Miss North Carolina a lot."
"I absolutely love your pictures because they bring me inner peace when I see them. I am a domestic abuse survivor and the feeling I get when browsing your website and photos are so relaxing and calming."
"Your artwork is absolutely beautiful. Your eye for the beauty in nature is better than most. I love all of your art, but when I look at the nature scenes I feel like I'm there. It feels like home, especially the winter pictures. They're my favorite. You have an amazing talent, thank you for sharing it."
"I absolutely love seeing pictures of nature and God's beautiful creations need to be shared and you are doing an awesome job... The waterfalls are one of my favorites almost like you can look and close your eyes and hear the sound of the water falling and hitting the rocks below... Thank you for what you do bringing some beauty into a world full of uncertainty right now."
"Roger's photographs are beautiful They make me feel like I am walking in the woods. They are absolutely gorgeous. God bless America lets not take freedom for granted."
"Roger has an awesome talent for photography and I love the way he shows God's beauty thru his pictures. Thank you my friend for what you do."
“Your pictures bring calmness and are beautiful to look at. When I’m having a rough day with my mom’s passing which has been a year, I can find peace and calm by just looking at the pictures you post on Facebook. Would love to have a piece hang in my home.”
“I love these mountains we live in and I don't get to or haven't had the chance to see the things you take pictures of!! I love seeing their beauty through your eyes.”
“For me personally, I enjoy your work for several reasons. Over the years I feel like I have gotten to "know" you via your Facebook posts…. Your photography is a stress reliever at times. The pictures take me away from whatever feelings I may be having at the moment to a peaceful or just a temporary place away from my struggles. I enjoy photography myself, however, I am just an amateur photographer with my two lenses and just basic pre-installed editing software. Thank you for being so real!”
“I love nature photos. There is such beauty in God's work. Your pictures have a peacefulness to them. I can't wait to see more.”
“I want to say that I love looking at the pictures you take they are always beautiful. I really think you do an awesome job. Keep up the great work. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures with everyone.”
“As a former native of Ashtabula, I’ve gotten to know your work with nature and your love of God. Your work has brought me much peace and solace. Your expressions of God and nature truly are remarkable. Stay humble.”
"You are real, raw, and brave enough to get into the elements & bring home pics for all us couch potatoes to enjoy & your lil' boy and pup are too cute as well"
"I love how you capture the beauty of nature."
"I love that your pictures are about God's World. I like that you use the different "templates" (nature, landscapes, etc.) for your pictures. I enjoy the background stories of the place or the reason it caught your eye or pulled your heartstrings. I appreciate your talent and that you share it with us. Thank You."
"Used to listen to ya on the radio and even spoke to you a couple of times on the phone. We talked about Backyard Bow Pro and Joe Lasher, whom I'm associated with. I've always followed you on facebook and really think your talent in photography is awesome."
"Your work is just beautiful! It makes me want to come to Asheville and see the places you've photographed. It's calming and beautiful... I love that you have this talent! I want to support you in any way possible."
"I grew up in Asheville and love seeing the surrounding areas that I have yet to see. Roger seems to get the pictures at the right time of year bringing out the beauty of each and every one. Born in Bat Cave and a grandmother that lives in Chimney Rock, I love seeing the great outdoors and its beauty. Keep up the good work and enjoy!"
