The famous Pineapple Foutain in Charleston Waterfront Park in Charleston, South Carolina. The fountain has been a city destination since 1990.
Photographer's Journal (January 7, 2023):
On a lark, I took off to Charleston, South Carolina, to clear my head from all the stresses of life and business. I don't know about you, but my creativity drops into the bucket when I get burned out, so I need something to recharge my batteries. But as I drove along I-26 from Asheville to Charleston, I started to second guess my decision to run off to the beach, knowing I had bills to pay, projects to finish, and adulting to do.
However, once I reached the city limits and broke my camera out, all of those doubts quickly faded away as I could feel my creative spark starting to rekindle and then burst into a full-on blaze. It was a great escape that allowed me to capture some amazing images that I am genuinely proud of, including "Piña de Indes," the Pineapple Fountain at Waterfront Park in Charleston.
I am truly blessed to have been able to capture this image because not only did it help me get out of my funk, but it is one of my favorite photos of all time.
